Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use CodeKit, our browser-based QR code and barcode tools.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Who operates CodeKit
CodeKit is operated by Wonzly, represented by Muhammad Abrar. For privacy questions or requests, visit our contact page.
Information you enter and save
QR codes, barcodes, scan results, and saved history are processed in your browser. The app does not send the code contents to a CodeKit application server. If you save an item, its content and related details (such as its name, type, and favorites or pins) are stored in this browser's local storage. They remain on this device until you remove them or clear the site's browser data.
Avoid entering information into a code that you do not want stored in your browser or displayed on your screen. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to view saved items.
Camera and files
If you choose camera scanning, your browser asks for camera permission. The camera feed is used by the browser-based scanner to read codes; CodeKit does not upload the feed to its application server. You can stop scanning and revoke camera permission in your browser settings. Images you select or paste for scanning are processed in the browser and are not uploaded to a CodeKit application server.
Analytics, advertising, and external services
CodeKit loads Firebase Analytics in the browser to understand aggregate site usage. The tool page also loads advertising scripts from bauval.org. These third parties may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device details, and interactions with their services, and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own practices. CodeKit does not control how those providers handle information.
When a URL is displayed in a preview, CodeKit may request its website icon from Google using that URL's domain. If you choose to open an external link or map, your browser connects to that service directly. Those services receive information as described in their own privacy policies.
Your browser may offer controls to block cookies, limit tracking, or restrict camera access. Blocking third-party scripts may affect analytics or advertising, but is not required to use the core code generation and scanning features.
Retention and your choices
Saved code history is kept in local storage on your device, not in a CodeKit user account. You can manage or clear history in the app, or remove CodeKit's site data through your browser settings. Clearing site data may also remove other preferences stored by the site. Analytics and advertising providers may retain information under their own policies and controls.
Children and policy changes
CodeKit is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated; continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
Pakistan
This policy is intended to be read consistently with applicable laws of Pakistan. You may use our contact page for questions or privacy requests. Because saved code history is stored on your device rather than in a CodeKit account, we cannot retrieve or delete that browser-local history for you.
